BOULDER, Colo., Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Me.dium, Inc, a consumer software company based in Boulder, CO, announced today it has joined the newly formed Entrepreneurs Foundation of Colorado (EFCO) as a founding grantor. By committing a percentage of its equity to EFCO, Me.dium will be able to effectively contribute to the health and sustainability of the local community from day one.
EFCO was designed to provide a platform for entrepreneurs and start-up organizations to ensure local philanthropy is not overlooked while dealing with the strenuous demands of an early-stage organization.
"With our heads down dealing with the day-to-day demands of a start-up, it's too easy to let local philanthropy take a back seat," commented Kimbal Musk, CEO, Me.dium. "Working with the Entrepreneur's Foundation of Colorado provides a simple and targeted way of assuring that as our success increases, so will our continued contribution to the local community."
"Support from the local community was a key factor in our decision to locate Me.dium in Colorado," added David Mandell, Co-Founder of Me.dium. "EFCO is an effective and innovative way for us to make sure we tip the scales in Colorado's favor for future companies weighing the pros and cons of different geographic benefits."
